Progressive Downloader pour Mac

I posted the following back in 2021, it still applies, privacy policy unchanged. Personally, I wouldn't use this software. ADDENDUM 2026: I loaded PD into a virtual machine with Little Snitch installed. The app tries to connect to servers in Eastern and Central Europe et al. IMO, using this software directly or indirectly benefits the country (or it's Allies) that is responsible for routine and continuing death of civilians, including children. Post from 2021: Read the Privacy Policy VERY CAREFULLY https://www.macpsd.net/pages/privacy-policy/ IN PART "If you are located outside Russian Federation and, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to Russian Federation and process it there." The program also collects Cookie information, in addition to "..mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers [i.e. your phone or computer ID] and other diagnostic data." The company can share any and all of this info with 3rd parties, the Privacy Policy is carefully worded, but if you read between the lines and analyze, there is nothing that explicitly says that the company WON'T share any of this data. Specifically, it says they won't share with any entity that doesn't have 'ADEQUATE CONTROLS IN PLACE...' which is basically a legal disclaimer as there is no definition of what 'adequate' means...adequate can mean whatever they choose to define it to mean. Look at the release history https://www.macpsd.net/pages/version/ since April of 2019 to April 2021, basically every release just ways "Bug fixes and stability improvements. " no specifics. If you have Little Snitch (and every Mac user should), it would be intgeresting to see what IP addresses this program contacts outside of the sites you actually visit.

Many reviewers below connected only once to MU... (check their profile page) which makes me very doubtful about the validity of such 5 stars "reviews". ;-)
